Current Research Interests:
KEY WORDS: Forest ecology, monitoring, pollution.
My primary interests are on the establishment and development of a global network of monitoring and research sites to help track the long term transport of pollutants and their possible impacts on natural ecosystems. Research emphasis is on indicators of ecosystem functioning, monitoring systems design, the use of plants to detect pollution, bio-geochemical responses to help understand how ecosystems function and chemical pollutant measurement techniques under remote field situations. Recent research has focused on forest responses on the Watershed Manipulation project at Bear Brook Watershed in Eastern Maine.
