Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Benjamin received his Ph.D. in Forestry from the University of New Brunswick in the field of forest management and wood quality. He previously worked as a forest engineer in British Columbia designing forest transportation systems. Dr. Benjamin is developing a research program focusing on operational forestry issues related to biomass harvesting and the relationships between machine and operator performance. Dr. Benjamin has taught courses in timber harvesting, forest roads, operations planning and analysis, and mechanical properties of wood.
