Black Bear Chapter - National Association for Interpretation
The Black Bear Chapter of the National Association for Interpretation (NAI) was founded in 1999, the first student NAI chapter in the eastern United States. This professional organization provides a forum for park naturalists, historians, and others interested in environmental education. Members work closely with the other the student club University Recreation Club (TURC) on a variety of service projects focused on restoring, preserving and better understanding our natural and cultural heritage. Students who are members of NAI have traveled to the annual national conference and last spring students attended a regional workshop hosted by state and federal natural resource agencies in New York.
