Student Life

On your first day, you will start classes in Nutting Hall, a beautiful wood-designed structure. The wood Science and Technology program is a small and close-knit community within the UMaine Orono campus and courses are taught both in Nutting and the Advanced Engineered Wood Composites Center.

Beyond that, the University of Maine offers an extraordinary environment for students. Our highly active student organizations create great social and professional opportunities and host speakers and events of special interest to the students. You work and study at the University of Maine of course, but we also offer a wonderful array of options for leisure time, from big-time athletics and recreational facilities to outdoors and lectures.
